Public bug reported:

I reinstalled my laptop to Hardy Alpha 4 and a few minutes after logging
in the first time, I could not single click any longer. Every time I
press a mouse button it's a double click.

I have a HP nc8430 laptop with an external Logitech, Inc. M-BJ69 Optical
Wheel Mouse. My touchpad also fails to work properly.

I had an up-to-date install of Hardy before this install and then I
didn't have this problem.
