I have the same problem. I have all the latest updates and am running Kubuntu Hardy amd64 version.
Garbage Bin -> Open in New Window = Malformed URL trash:/ System Menu -> Storage Media = Malformed URL media:/. System Menu -> Remote Places = Malformed URL remote:/. System Menu -> Users Folders = Malformed URL home:/. If I plug in a flash drive or external USB HDD, (in this case a CORSAIR 4GB USB Flash drive) the following happens... KDE Daemon window pops up asking what I would like to do, Open in new window is highlighted. If i click on OK, i get the following error : /media/CORSAIR is a folder, but a file was expected. If I then click on the CORSAIR media icon on the desktop, a D3lphin window opens displaying the content of the flash drive and i can use it. Hope this information can help sort out the problem in some way. Keep up the good work guys - Very happy with Kubuntu Hardy thus far :) Rod. -- KDE: Error - KIOExec: error messages when opening links from system menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/175597 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
