No problems about compiling software. I rebuilded alsa 1.0.16rc1 and the daily build as well. The problem remains the same in both situations. The loud noise and the same error while testing the audio capture on System > Preferences > Sound: gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat
