Oh heck, this email is a little bit overdue and I do apologize. no I when I installed gutsy all my problems just dissapeared. One thing though, I had to do a clean install because gutsy and compiz-fusion don't mix well -- so now I just don't use compiz. I was just missing something and asked my dad for help he fixed my problem with the upgrade prerequisites.
