Ok, I'm going to clarify what I said above:
For some DVB cards, the windows firmware works on Linux.
For others it does not.....
So, if your symtoms are:
1. run windows(DVB works)
2. restart into linux (DVB fails)
3. power-down & re-start linux (DVB succeeds)
.....Then your Windows firmware is incompatible with you linux drivers.
If your symptoms are:
1. run windows(DVB works)
2. restart into linux (DVB succeeds)
3. power-down & re-start linux (DVB fails)
...... Then your Windows firmware is compatible with linux, but
linux doesn't have it's own firmware.
