If this is an upgrade, please try without any xorg.conf. When rebooting after the crash, use Recovery mode and copy the Xorg.0.log somewhere so that you can attach it here. Then change to the "vesa" driver in xorg.conf (you'll need one then) so that you can boot up normally.
Once you have booted, you can try to install a test version from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XorgOnTheEdge. Don't forget to revert to the "ati" driver in xorg.conf to test it out. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xserver-xorg-driver-ati => xserver-xorg-video-ati Assignee: (unassigned) => Tormod Volden (tormodvolden) Status: New => Incomplete -- X don't run correctly with my ATI Mobility 7000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188913 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
