I had this problem too, so I compared the newly-installed /var/lib/dpkg/info/mnogosearch-common.templates file on my gutsy machine with the same file on a Debian sarge machine. The Ubuntu-gutsy file had a couple blank lines at the top that the Debian-sarge file doesn't have. When I deleted those blank lines, leaving the file to start with a "Template:" line, the package installation was able to continue properly.
