Update to/install the alsa-source binary package from today, install
module-assistant and debconf-utils, and use "sudo m-a clean,a-i alsa-
source". Afterward, you may need to log out of the X session, switch to
another tty and log in, and use "sudo /sbin/alsa force-reload".
