Public bug reported: Hi,
Back when I was using Ubuntu 6.06, I was having a software called "disk-admin". It was a very very good beginning. But unfortunately, it has been removed and is no more on edgy/feisty/gutsy... (because of UUIDs ??) Since Ubuntu 8.04 will be a LTS, we AB-SO-LU-TE-LY need a GUI for fstab / mtab. Yes, there's GNOME-MOUNT. But it's not a real-GUI, it's just a tool to make beautifull, but it's absolutely not usefull... Perhaps you need to begin with something. Well, you should take a look at that old program : http://sourceforge.net/projects/shares/ With the sources, I'm sure you could be able to make a clean program able to mount/umount/fsck/edit fstab/view partition info easyly... Thanks in advance... ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu should get a real mount / fstab / mtab GUI https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189687 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
