Closing as out of date.  If the issue still occurs on Hardy, please feel
free to reopen with the requested information.  (Also attach
/var/log/Xorg.0.log as it may have some relevant info.)  It would also
be useful to exit from X to the console, and test if closing/re-opening
the lid works or also fails.  If it also fails, then it's a kernel issue
not X, and the issue should be filed there.

Lars, while you experience similar symptoms, since your hardware is
different I suspect your issue is unrelated.  Please review
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Debugging for the type of info needed for
troubleshooting suspend/resume issues and file a new bug if it is still
occurring on Hardy.
