I have been experiencing this problem since I first started using a Ubuntu VM regularly in July 2007 (about 6 months ago). I finally got sick of it and went looking and found this pretty quickly and since it's so precisely the problem I'm having, I created an account here.
My `uname -a` output is: Linux hostname 2.6.12-28-386 #1 PREEMPT Wed Jul 18 22:50:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux I believe I installed this from v6.06 LTS. I'll look into CIFS. I've heard of that, but didn't know how it related to SMB. I always thought of CIFS as being more general somehow. -- tulip0: ***WARNING***: No MII transceiver found! - Automounting of SMB share does not reliably occur on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109519 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
