Sorry, this bug report is wrong. It is problem that evince can not display Japanese (and probably Chinese, Korean) PDF file without embedded fonts. When reads CJK PDF file, poppler expects that there are CMap files for CJK in above directories. But there are not its files and directories in current version.
I have thought that it is poppler bug. However, I noticed that absence of poppler-data package causes this problem.
