I tried it with an X server on an up-to-date Hardy, with an glxgears running on a Gutsy (I don't have access to two Hardy machines). It doesn't crash, but it works with a frame every few seconds. Would this be a bug, or is this expected behavior? (It pretty much means OpenGL isn't usable at all on a remote X).
$ ssh -X zalmox.lan glxgears libGL error: open DRM failed (Operation not permitted) libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering For the record, "ssh -X localhost glxgears" works, but I don't know if it actually uses a "remote" connection to communicate to the local X server. (It does leave "ghosts" of the window on the desktop when it moves, though.) -- opengl over remote X (over ssh) crashes X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/83339 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
