TeX Math fonts are NOT NOT NOT set up for usage with unicode.
That is a fact. Forget anything in that document.
UTF is supported in text mode for many characters but far from all.
I guess we can close this bug, if you want to improve this please change
upstream's support for utf8 in math mode, but be prepared to learn loads
of TeX and LaTeX internals.
