Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

After upgrading to the 9.0.48.0.2+really0ubuntu12.2 version of
flashplugin-nonfree, the input of special characters (like German
umlauts öäü ÖÄÜ ß) in a flash-based text input field doesn't work
anymore. This is maybe a character encoding problem. Although all of my
characters are encoded in UTF-8, they are transmitted or received or
computed as ISO-8859-1 (or something like that) by the flash-plugin.
