I removed compiz few months ago but apparently I forgot to remove startup script from Gnome session startup programs. Everything was working fine until upgrading to Edgy; after the upgrade, as I said, only error was that metacity didn't load. So, when I opened any program in Gnome it ended up without window manager. If I opened console and run metacity manually, window manager loaded and everything worked fine. Now, after removing that compiz script from Gnome session startup programs, metacity loads perfectly. -- Metacity doesn't load after login https://launchpad.net/bugs/63185 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
