Are the alternate CDs broken too, or just the liveCDs? Also, why are
daily builds still being released when they're clearly broken? And how
hard is it to make sure that the CDs actually have the xubuntu-desktop
package installed?? (Or is the problem more complicated than that?) I
don't mean to sound rude, but I'm a little impatient, as I have been
waiting for over a week for this to get fixed. I know that alpha
products are supposed to buggy, but the point is to fix the bugs,
especially the ones that render the product as a whole unusable!
By the way, last weekend I tried to install from the liveCD ('sudo
ubiquity' in a failsafe terminal). It worked, but the installed system
had the same problem, so it's not just the live environment that's
afflicted, if that helps at all.
