Can you try running
telepathy-butterfly --persist
in the terminal, add an account to cohoba, try to connect and see if you get
meaningful output in the terminal and paste it here? (If not, you might want to
try to run
/usr/lib/cohoba/cohoba-applet
in the terminal, add it to the panel and then repeat the steps and paste the
output here.
