I have this issue on a Dell Inspiron 5100 with latest BIOS. It has two high-speed usb ports. Until recently I operated with a single external USB disk in one of the ports, which works fine.
I tried adding an extra usb disk but it fails with the same message. The first usb disk continues to work, however. I have attached my dmesg output. ** Attachment added: "dmesg_dell_inspiron_5100.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/11862606/dmesg_dell_inspiron_5100.txt -- USB device not accepting address: error -110 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/54273 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
