Public bug reported:
I recently upgraded to linux-image-2.6.24. Along with that I had to upgrade the
restricted modules and nvidia-glx.
Now, X11 works fine, but I cannot switch back to (even a non-framebuffer)
console. I get flashing lines, and basically a black screen. Switching back to
X11 from there works fine, though.
I get the same symptoms when the screensaver kicks in and turns off the screen
(DPMS?). In that case I have to use
CTRL-ALT-F1, wait, ALT-F7 to see the X11 screen again.
