Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Since a few days, The battery applet reports two batteries, even I have
only one in my ThinkPad T41p (see the Screenshot). The lower one is a
"delayed copy" of the real one (the upper). The lower one also shows
only a subset of the information available from the upper one.
It looks like GPM takes infos from two sources, e.g. /proc and /sys.
