Hello Chris, thank you for responding. Yes, the problem is transient but pretty annoying. Right now, all three Openoffice applications I usually work with print fine. I rather would describe the problem better but there is no obvious reason for these failures. I could understand if there was an update of cupsys or Ooo, but this was not the case.
I would like to get rid of Windows but I have to work with the system and cannot afford unexpected failures. Still Ubuntu is wonderful. Keep up the good work!
