Public bug reported:
LCD Brightness control using laptop keyboard shortcuts works perfect (Dell
Inspiron 1501).
But LCD Brightness applet says "Brightness: 0%" always and if I attempt to
scroll the bar to modify the brightness it freezes the whole gnome-panel at
Hardy Alpha 4
