Public bug reported: Using LDAP autentification with Gutsy on both server and client (TLS on).
sudo-ldap is working well but I can't getting gksudo to work. I guess this is the same thing as in bug 15093 (but in this case we are talking about sudo-ldap). I've tried to apply the patches described in bug 15093 (http://www.sudo.ws/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=180) but with no success. To describe the problem: I can't run any administrative applications when pam_ldap is enabled. Not as the local user nor as an LDAP-administrative user. When trying to start an administrative program from the menus I got an prompt in the bottom panel "trying to start.." but nothing more. When I'm trying to start it from the shell with gksudo synatic (as an example) nothing happens and the prompt disappear until I break with ctrl+c. If I've run sudo before (and therefore have a cashed password) I run gksudo it works. ** Affects: sudo (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gksudo don't work togeter with sudo-ldap https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191778 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
