Binary package hint: gnuplot-mode
When gnuplot-mode is installed, you can find in the output of the installation:
install/gnuplot-mode: Ignoring emacsen flavor emacs22.
When I try to use it in emacs (M-x gnuplot-mode), it says:
Cannot open load file: gnuplot
