I had the same problem on my acer laptop; after a lot of testing I realized the issue only arose when the pc was being charged / linked to the wall socket. the noapic nolapic pci=noacpi acpi=off boot sequence seems to be working, even though I get a warning at start - guess one of those options is redundant.
