Hello Leann, Just a small update to make things clear. The OOPS by itself doesn't happen anymore on 2.6.24 (Hardy) because the following patch is applied to the standard 2.6.24 kernel.
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=12918&action=view This patch could be applied right now to 2.6.22 (Gusty) and it would prevent the OOPS reported above. Then there is a second problem which is to make RNDIS USB devices work with Linux. It is my understanding that at the moment neither 2.6.22 nor 2.6.24 would work with such devices. Since the synce patch (pointed above) was not correct I proposed another one which should soon be merged to linux kernel main tree. The actual proposal is here: http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb%40vger.kernel.org/msg01608.html -- [Gutsy] Kernel Oops after calling synce-serial-start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
