  On Debian machine (kernel 2.6.24-1-686, libpcsc-perl 1.4.6-1, libpcsclite1 
1.4.99-1, pcsc-tools 1.4.12-1, pcscd 1.4.99-1) the reader works fine (with the 
same ezusb.so driver).
  
  Problem reproduced on another Ubuntu machine, with another reader of the
  same type.
