asoundconf list
Names of available sound cards:
Intel

The first symptoms I had is that kmix wouldn't move the sound sliders, and
enabling/disabling inputs wouldn't work. Launching alsamixer at a command
prompt gives this:
$ alsamixer

alsamixer: function snd_mixer_load failed: No such file or directory

Sound worked well in gutsy on the same laptop, a Fujistu Siemens Amilo
Pi 1505, with Intel Centrino Duo chipset (945G)

** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
