I'm sorry I haven't been that thorough in describing the scenario. some points: I'm using kde3 It does suspend, and my post is meant mainly for S3 mode (suspend to ram). But the resume.d scripts are never called. The resume.d scripts are to be called after a suspend to ram right? Or only after suspend to disk?
