Binary package hint: lvm2
I have installed the package `lvm2' and created logical volums.
After every reboot my volume group is not available. I have to activate
it manually (vgscan, vgchange -ay). I think this should be done by the
boot process.
Ubuntu Gutsy package `lvm2' (2.02.26-1ubuntu4) has no boot time startup
script for `/etc/init.d' and even tries to delete it in the post
installation script.
Debian Lenny package `lvm2' (2.02.29-1) contains `/etc/init.d/lvm2' and
configures start scripts in "/etc/rc*" directories in the post
installation script.
After intalling Lenny's startup script `/etc/init.d/lvm2' my volume
groups ar available:
ROOT # update-rc.d lvm2 start 26 S . start 50 0 6 .
Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/lvm2 ...
/etc/rc0.d/S50lvm2 -> ../init.d/lvm2
/etc/rc6.d/S50lvm2 -> ../init.d/lvm2
/etc/rcS.d/S26lvm2 -> ../init.d/lvm2
