I made a small comparison:
open the same folder with documents in Nautilus 2.21.91 - Memory consumption by
the process - 20.3 MB,
and in PCMan FM 0.3.5.23 - 4.9 MB.
Can you see the difference?

I wish PCMan FM had also a dual pane view, but you can handle the
problem by opening new window and drag & drop files.

I think Nautilus is worst file manager for Gnome.
Even Thunar (default XFCE file manager) is much better than heavy, slow and
useless Nautilus.

Is there any chance for Nautilus to be removed from Ubuntu and replaced
by any other file manager?
