Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: audacious-plugins-ugly
On February 13th, 2008, some of Audacious's packages were upgraded to the 1.4
series from the gutsy-backports repository, including audacious,
audacious-plugins, and audacious-plugins-extra.
However, audacious-plugins-ugly and audacious-crossfade were not upgraded and
are compiled for the 1.3 series. Now, whenever I start Audacious, I get several
errors about dependency errors, and I can not use the plugins in those packages.
When will these packages be backported? The audacious-cube plugin is especially
missed.
I am using Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy.
Package versions:
audacious 1.4.5-1ubuntu1~gutsy1
audacious-crossfade 0.3.12-2build1
audacious-plugins 1.4.4-1ubuntu1~gutsy1
audacious-plugins-extra 1.4.4-1ubuntu1~gutsy1
audacious-plugins-ugly 1.3.0-1
libaudacious5 1.3.2-4
Audacious does not load the Crossfade plugin or other plugins in
audacious-plugins-ugly, and shows the following information on the console:
Failed to load plugin (/usr/lib/audacious/Output/libcrossfade.so):
/usr/lib/audacious/Output/libcrossfade.so: undefined symbol:
