** Also affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Description changed:
- Dist-upgraded my laptop recently and the newly installed kernel doesn't
- finish booting.
+ I've determined the error was caused by the hard drive switching from
+ being called /dev/hda1 to /dev/sda1 however this is fixed in grub 1 by
+ using UUID instead of either of the above. Grub2 should do this as well.

+ Original report:
+ Dist-upgraded my laptop recently and the newly installed kernel doesn't
finish booting.
2.6.24-7 still works fine.
2.6.24-8 stops at Time: acpi_pm clock source has been installed
And then falls back to Busybox saying it can't find /dev/hda1
I'm using Grub2 (grub-pc) if that matters. It's a Dell D600 Latitude.
