Hi, The usplash previously appeared before a kernel update. Now it's the linux starting messages which are displayed during boot.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/usplash.conf # Usplash configuration file xres=1280 yres=800 It was previously 1024*768 when usplash was working, but during the operations I done to try to make it working, I read it's better like this. My resolution under X (gnome) is 1280*800, and 1024*768 when using external screen (dual screen, same picture on the 2) [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux julien-laptop 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 07:42:25 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux I tried to put VGA=791 and VGA=771 in the grub file menu.lst, but with this the linux messages are not displayed, and nothing before the X starting.
