Public bug reported:

i had tracker switched off, but wanted to give it a second try. so i opened the
tracker preferences and swichted indexing on (both: indexing and watching).
then i got a message to restart tracker, which i did ok.
then tried to close the preference window - not successful, (waiting: not
responding box) because trackered, now started again, did consume all resources
(albeit reporting < 10 % of CPU in monitor).

when a response occured (30 seconds - 1 minute): it said 'tracker must
be restarted...) -> infinite loop.

i stopped it by clicking no. then the window close.

(this occured after trackered run for 7 hours continuously on an
otherwise unused system at night).

at least with my configuration and amount of files (20 GB) tracker is
unusable for resource hugging.
