Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-26-powerpc
In frame buffer mode, there are vertical lines where the characters
rapidly change between the right one and another beside, making it
difficult, or impossible, to read.
I'm running 6.06 LTS, the machine is a Beige Power Mac G3/233 (rev B),
video controller is ATI 3D Rage II+, with full 6 MB of video memory.
This used to work in 4.10, at least on another similar (rev A, but
practically same) machine.
(It's sad, how at least 3 things that did work at that time, have
stopped doing it. At the same time, I haven't seen any areas where
support for these oldies has become better. The 2nd one is an xorg
problem already reported, the 3rd one is the ability to be booted with
quik, maybe I should report that, too...)
** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
