Okay the summary seems a bit cryptic, so here goes
go to system > preferances > main menu
Add a new item (creates a launcher). Hit browse to choose an application
Manually type the path to the DIRECTORY ONLY in the location and hit enter. By
default it should show the contents in the list below. Which it doesnt.
