Conduit is under extensive development. What's available in Gutsy is
buggy, no doubt. You can try a newer development version (I'm running
0.3.8) from here: http://www.conduit-project.org
See if 0.3.8 exhibits the same behavior. I have samba shares, but none
are password protected so I can't immediately confirm, but I'm using it
daily without crashes for simple file transfers and rss podcast
downloads.
