Public bug reported:
No released versions of Ubuntu contain Terminator, but it is in universe for
Hardy.
We have version 0.7, while Debian is now carrying 0.8.1. At this early stage in
the project's life, getting the latest version possible into the hands of users
is highly desirable (especially for a LTS release).
The main reason for pushing for 0.8.1 is the following bug fixes:
#187187 - (critical) terminator create only an icon without a text in
applications menu
#191124 - (critical) Should support -x
#179315 - Should not depend on Gnome Terminal
#184809 - Terminator should not hard-depend on python-gnome
In addition to this we now ship more translations and have a full
iconset.
