Regarding a testing report - most of the LP team (gnome-terminator) members are in regular contact with the project, and are Ubuntu users. We've all been using 0.8.1 or later and while we have continued to fix a few bugs, most of our attention has now turned to large new features because the day-to-day usage of Terminator is stable. We feel that 0.8.1 would be a much better release to include in Hardy than the existent 0.7, not just because of the bug fixes it brings, but also the improved icon/desktop support, which will provide a better experience for our GNOME users. For non-GNOME users, the reduced dependence on GNOME packages/features is also welcome.
