Triaged to Confirmed.  GRUB is not perfect.  Ubiquity relies on GRUB to
enumerate operating systems and it sometimes fails.  There are many
documented cases where GRUB gets confused.  Work arounds involve editing
menu.lst or grub.conf.  It's not difficult but it's not easy for the new
user either.  Since this is an older submission, there may have been
improvements to GRUB.
