Thanks - creating the directory, as suggested above also worked for me. I forgot to add, in my last post, I'm using Gutsy, not Hardy. And, to be clear, I should mention that I have also been applying the suggested upgrades as they become available, so it may not be related to my install of FireFox-3.0.
