Although this is a low priority patch here it is. This patch will be in the next HPLIP release.
The hplip-2.8.2_dj895_powerup.patch will send a power up command if the printer is powered off. Before this fix the user had to manually power up the printer. The fix only applies to older printers like the Deskjet 895C. patch -p1 < hplip-2.8.2_dj895_powerup.patch -dave > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of Till Kamppeter > Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 1:21 AM > To: Suffield, David > Subject: [Bug 155965] Re: HPLIP does not "power on" my > printer (HP DESKJET 895C) - Works with standard USB CUPS backend > > Aaron, thanks for doing the fix.
