The kernel from a third-party otheros.bld is guaranteed not to work in
the installer itself (it will never be in sync with Ubuntu kernels), but
should manage to act as a workable bootloader. I'll open a task to get
ps3-kboot updated.
I think I've fixed the build problem that was breaking live CD builds.
Incidentally, now that PS3 systems should be able to use the
powerpc64-smp kernel (in Hardy), the eventual plan is to merge the PS3
CD images into the regular powerpc ones. This will take a bit more
effort, though.
