I have an MA311 card which the orinoco/_pci modules handled before. Since the recent kernel updates, which include the linux-wlan modules, I had to mess around manually rmmoding modules.
The MA311 is a Prism2.5 card, apparently, which can be handled by hostap, orinoco *and* prism2 modules. This is fine; but *all* the modules are loaded, when of course only one is necessary. Is this just the way Linux dynamically loads drivers? That seems pretty redundant, and a waste of memory.
