I am on newest state of Edgy!
And I am not having problems with my ppd:
"cupstestppd CLP-510.ppd" gives the following:
CLP-510.ppd: PASS
WARN DefaultLinuxGDIBand has no corresponding options!
WARN Obsolete PPD version 4,0!
REF: Page 42, section 5.2.
And the printer worked just fine in Dapper.
the cupsys errorlog says "unathorized" - even if I run the gnome-cups-
add as root?
