RuntimeError: Install failed with exit code/:see/var/log/installer/syslog and
/var/log/syslog
I am new to ubuntu and was trying to install. When the install failed
the screen advised me to log a new bug report and attach files
/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log.syslog and /var/log/partman
I dont know how to do that .
I tried to log the report with ubuntu running but had to register with
launchpad.net.
This meant I had to crash the system as it froze instead of shutting down.
I noticed that while trying to exit there was a message " Stopping RAID
monitoring services
Failed"
So to register I had to boot up in Windows
I was told to place bug report at
https://launchpad.net/ditros/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+filebug
However when I registered and looked for that page I was informed that the page
was not found.
I dont think I made any errors in the pathways above but as i had to
copy longhand and then type it in it is possible that some of the
spacing is wrong. apologies in advance if this is the case.
