OK, try this at the command line if you want to test the USplash in
1280x1024
sudo /etc/usplash.conf
It should looking something like the following:
# Usplash configuration file
xres=1024
yres=768
Of course you can try changing it to 1280x1024 respectively, but if it
doesn't look like the example I showed, try it at 1024x768 first. Thanks
