gnome-ppp version: 0.3.23-1
Modem connects to the server and gnome-ppp says 'Authenticating', but it never
does (times out).
Looking at the log there is raw ppp data (funky ASCII characters) that should
be captured by pppd but aren't and instead are ending up in the log.
